Unusually cold weather to affect production volumes

Florida will get another round of extreme cold weather tonight, which is expected to be the coldest night of the week throughout the state. Freezing temperatures are expected in Plant City and frost warning for Palmetto/Ruskin Wednesday morning, while Immokalee will be in the mid 30s. Cool temperatures will continue through Friday. wear

Rain is expected to come back to Florida Sunday through Tuesday of next week.

In Mexico, expect lows to be in the upper 40s for the Culiacan, Sinaloa, region starting this Friday night and continuing through at least next Wednesday, Jan. 24. No damage to crops is expected, but this is unusually cold weather for this region; expect this to affect production volumes. A large variety of items comes from this region at this time of year. Check with your shippers to ensure product.

In the Bajio region temperatures well below average will continue through to next weekend, with minimums in the upper 30s. Please check with your shippers.
